      <image:title>Therapists - Sarah Hughson, MA, LLPC* - About Sarah</image:title>
<image:caption>Sarah Hughson is a former professional athlete turned mental performance coach and clinical mental health counselor who is passionate about helping athletes strengthen both their mindset and overall well-being. Drawing from her experiences competing at the collegiate, professional, and international levels, Sarah understands firsthand the pressures athletes face and works to help them develop the mental tools needed to thrive both in sport and in life. Sarah’s work is deeply informed by her lifelong involvement in athletics and high-performance environments. She was a standout collegiate athlete at Elmira College, where she earned CCM/AHCA First Team All-American honors and was named UCHC Player of the Year during her senior season. She was also recognized as Elmira’s Female Athlete of the Year and nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. While at Elmira, Sarah was also a dual-sport athlete, competing in both women’s ice hockey and women’s lacrosse, an experience that helped shape her understanding of the unique demands placed on student-athletes balancing multiple sports, academics, and personal development. Following her collegiate career, Sarah played five seasons of professional ice hockey in the National Women's Hockey League, later known as the Premier Hockey Federation, competing alongside some of the best players in the world. Her professional career deepened her appreciation for the psychological demands of elite sport and the importance of confidence, resilience, and mental preparation in high-pressure environments. Beyond ice hockey, Sarah has also represented the United States internationally through ball hockey, competing in three World Championships with the United States Women's National Ball Hockey Team, including winning a Gold Medal in 2024. She has also contributed to the sport from the coaching side, leading the USA Women’s Masters (35+) Ball Hockey Team to a Gold Medal at the 2025 World Championships. Sarah now channels these experiences into her work with athletes. She holds a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology and recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University. Most recently, she worked as a counselor at University of Bridgeport, where she supported college students and athletes navigating the pressures of academics, sport, and personal development. Sarah works with athletes of all ages and across multiple sports, helping them develop mental skills that support both performance and well-being. Her clients range from youth athletes (ages 10–19) navigating early development and competitive pressures, to college athletes, elite performers, and Olympic-level competitors. She also works extensively with youth hockey players through her leadership as a director and coach within a competitive girls’ hockey program, where she supports athletes both on and off the ice. Through her work, Sarah strives to create a supportive and empowering environment where individuals can explore challenges, strengthen confidence, and develop the mental tools needed to thrive both in competition and in life. When she’s not working with athletes, Sarah remains deeply connected to the sports community through coaching, mentoring young athletes, and supporting the continued growth of women’s sports. <image:title>Therapists - Vincent Morton MA, LPC - About Vincent</image:title>
<image:caption>Secular psychology has many models for helping people live psychologically and socially healthy lives. And while there is value in these approaches, they are at root secular, which means they are not founded upon a religious or spiritual understanding of reality. For some people, the spiritual or religious is central to who they are and how they live. These people are not comfortable with the secular notion that one can be fully healthy while ignoring God. As a Christian, who is trained in secular psychology and Christian theology, I offer as an option, a Christian counseling approach that attempts to incorporate the best of both worlds. Modern science and the Christian faith are not mutually exclusive in my view. If you are interested in a therapist who is knowledgeable of and comfortable with both modern science and the Christian faith, I may be a good fit for you. Of course, I can and do help people who do not want Christian counseling. Contact Vincent: 616-773-2908 ext 108 EMAIL: vincent.morton@ihcwestmichigan.com</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapists New - LaRon Hill, MA, LLPC* - About LaRon</image:title>
<image:caption>Honestly, I know that searching for a therapist may not be routine for many people, and can sometimes be a little uncomfortable trying to find the right one to fit your needs, wants, and necessities. However, you have taken an important step already. This important step is thinking about making yourself a priority! There are many people dealing with depression, grief, stress, loneliness, feelings of isolation, anger, and trauma. However, they decide to carry the weight of those concerns and remain in silence. You are deciding to do the opposite and heal openly with someone walking beside you on your journey. My name is Laron Hill and I am a Licensed therapist in the State of Michigan. I graduated from Central Michigan with a Bachelor’s in Community development, and a Masters in Counseling from Central Michigan as well. Growing up, I had several family members that chose to suffer in silence. My hope is to change that way of practice by assisting those that desire better for themselves. I would love to assist you on your journey to peace and healing where you need it the most. Contact LaRon: 616-773-2908 ext 143 EMAIL: laron.hill@ihcwestmichigan.com</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapists New - Sarah Hughson, MA, LLPC* (Copy) - About Sarah</image:title>
<image:caption>Life is hard. We live in a world of uncertainties, which collectively have caused us to all feel emotions and fears that are hard to explain. And while we understand that humanity is suffering, it is also vital to address the individuality within that collective unit. Each of us have our own unique struggles. It is my belief that every person deserves to have a safe space to process their own emotions. As a counselor I am called to serve and work within my community to create an environment that allows for all people to feel seen, heard, and validated. I have experience working with adults, teenagers, and young children. Despite the difficulties that may be present in your life, we can work together to encourage development of sustainable skills and healthy outcomes. <image:title>Therapists New - Vincent Morton MA, LPC - About Vincent</image:title>

<image:caption>We provide holistic psychological and therapy services to men, women, children, couples, and families across West Michigan. With two in-person locations and telehealth options, we serve individuals and families in the Greater Grand Rapids area and surrounding communities. <image:title>Anti-Racism Commitment - Anti-Racism Commitment</image:title>
<image:caption>We believe that all people deserve access to high-quality, evidence-based treatment for their mental health and wellbeing. However, we also understand that due to historical injustices and systematic inequality, this basic resource has been largely inaccessible to people of color. At IHC, we are committed to addressing these injustices and advocating for those who have been affected by systemic racism. We will continually work to dismantle damaging beliefs and implicit biases both within the community and within our own practice.</image:caption>
