Aaron Knapp, M.A., LLPC*

About Aaron

Aaron is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor. I provide counseling for a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

Additionally, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and those who have experienced religious trauma.

My own journey as a former pastor, coupled with my personal experience of religious trauma, gives me a deep understanding of these specific challenges.

I recognize that my religious background may raise concerns for some who have experienced trauma. Please know that my priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for your healing. I will never impose my beliefs or try to change yours. Whether you are navigating spiritual questions, healing from religious abuse, or simply seeking support for life's challenges, I am here to help.

My approach is integrated and tailored to your individual needs, often drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in the DBT principle: 'You are accepted as you are, and your life can be better going forward.' I am committed to helping you craft a more fulfilling life story.

My past experience as a pastor in Michigan and Indiana, where I provided pastoral counseling and served as a foster parent, has shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with you to identify your goals and navigate your path toward well-being.
