About Shanika

Shanika is a counseling intern who provides trauma-informed attachment-based care to individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions and identity-related concerns. She is especially interested in working with complex trauma, dissociation and veterans’ mental health.

Shanika’s approach emphasizes safety, collaboration and helping clients build regulation, resilience and self-understanding. She offers culturally responsive, spiritually inclusive counseling and provides affirming support for LGBTQIA+ clients. Her goal is to create a warm supportive space where clients feel seen, understood and empowered in their healing process.
