Amber Mendoza, MA, LLPC*

About Amber

With an empowering and transparent approach to care, Amber meets clients exactly where they are on their unique journeys toward healing and meaningful change. She provides compassionate guidance, evidence-based interventions, and a safe haven for individuals, couples, and families to explore what is beneath the surface-supporting them in navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity, self-awareness, and resilience.

Amber is deeply committed to a transparent, client-centered approach to therapy. She cultivates a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to express their thoughts and emotions without bias. Her work integrates psychoeducation with meaningful connection to empower clients with the tools they need to evolve, heal, and foster deeper connections in their own lives.

Her integrative counseling style draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) alongside her background in ACT and Christian Counseling. As a military spouse, she also brings a personal understanding and specialized focus to working with veterans and military families.

Amber works with preteens, adolescents, adults, and couples, and has extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, grief, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Her trauma-informed practice also encompasses work with depression, life transitions, relational conflicts, and neurodivergence, including Asperger’s Syndrome and behavioral issues.
