Jason Vermeulen, M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
About Jason
I believe that while we are often wounded in relationship, we are also healed in relationship. My role is to "bear with-ness" to your story. Whether you are navigating the weight of anxiety, shame, grief, the ache of heartbreak and divorce, spiritual questions, or the complexities of religious trauma, or other concerns, you don't have to carry it alone. Together we will work to integrate your pain so you can become your most authentic, whole self.
I work with each person according to their needs and personality, but my approach is informed by various evidence-based treatments.
I also want to be open about my background. I’m aware that my own religious history may feel complicated for people who’ve experienced hurt in spiritual or religious spaces. Your autonomy matters deeply to me—I won’t impose my beliefs or try to shape yours. This is your space, and my role is to support you in a way that feels safe, respectful, and true to your journey.
